I Need New Specs

Good morning,

I had an eye test yesterday, I've reached that age where I now require varifocal lenses in my glasses, been quoted £400 (they were Gucci frames) in Boots opticians yesterday, the big question should I take my optical prescription to India or buy here in the UK

You can get ur specs in India at a cheaper price but get them from reputed opticians in the bigger metros. You can try one of the Zeiss outlets.

Search this site for 'specs' - I know that cyberhippie has posted regarding this, as he always has his specs made in India.

You'll find some good advice there (and also details of where to buy them from).

Or of course you could have a test to see if you could have laser surgery to correct your eye sight for roughly the same cost as those glasses.

We have experience of this if you need help although don't really know much about variofocal wearers!

Smoked for 25 years but now not smoked since 13th Jan. Am I now a non smoker, a smoker who doesn't smoke or an ex smoker? Do I have to even have a title, can I not just be a 'me'? Has not smoking made me crazy?, probably!
