I just bought   1000 Great Indian Recipes , Roli Books, New Delhi.

Has anyone used it?  [The index is a bit cumbersome for finding something quickly]

Still finding the index a problem - mostly because I can't remember the names of all the dishes and there is no English equivalent given. A least it is subdivided by type.

I also bought Indian Flavours by Marut Sikka, by the same publishing company. It has a more accessible index for me, full page photos, but many fewer recipes.  It's a real trade-off.  I wish 1000 were easier to navigate quickly, rather than having to do a page-by-page crawl.
