Hello!

Aeroflot offers the following flight from Düsseldorf to Delhi:

Flight Düsseldorf - Moscow                          flying time 3.10              Airbus A319
Stay at the airport                                      3 hours
Flight Moscow - Delhi                                  flying time 6.40              Ilyushin IL 96

Price for the round flight                             only 548,99 Euros           (Opodo)

Within the last few years Aeroflot always offered the most reasonably priced flights from Düsseldorf to Delhi.
Till now, I didn't take an Aeroflot flight into consideration since the stay was at the Moscow airport before between 13 and 22 hours.

Which experiences have your made with Aeroflot???

I've heard that Aeroflot has gotten better but that doesn't say a lot to me as it used to be diabolical!!

Are these prices inclusive of tax et al, and what time of year are you flying???

I have tried different search engines. The price is the final price.

Flight to Delhi                  = middle of November
Retur Flight to Düsseldorf = middle of December  

Last year the Aeroflot flights cost approx. the same. However, the waiting times at the Moscow airport deterred me.

I was wondering the same thing...  What do you mean by "diabolical"? Specifics, anyone?  They are a lot cheaper and have about the same wait times for me, coming from the US... How are they compared to other airlines?  (My other choices look like China Airlines and India Airlines, mostly, for cheaper prices.).

One of my friends recently flew with Aeroflot to Moscow (on 26 June) and he was very happy with its services.

Travellers have different stories to tell. Last year I considered Aeroflot for a ticket Delhi - Zagreb - Budapest - Delhi. The manager of their Delhi office offered a special price of Rs.29000/- plus taxes... but later on I got hardly any response inspite of me making numerous calls.... so gave up finally. My personal favourite is Austrian airways.

Sorry about the huge delay in responding, I only just found this thread.

My experience of Aeroflot was back in 1994, but for what it's worth: the flight itself was on time. The aircraft looked old- terrible 70s patterned "wallpaper" on the walls. The inflight meal wasn't properly defrosted...in fact it's more accurate to say it was frozen solid in the middle. It was not heated again or replaced.

It's quite possible they've improved, but personally I would still avoid it if possible.
