Jet Airways offers up to 25% discount for people aged 12-29 - they mention it on their website - fantastic! But... Is there any way of booking it online or with a UK agent? Couldn't find UK listed in their list of international agents. Slightly worried about huge phonebills if I call India to book it, probably spend the discount on the phonebill!!lol.

Hi Stella,
I don't know if you can book with the discount in the UK, but phoning India need not be expensive!
Go to www.niftylist.co.uk and you can ring an Indian landline from 4p a minute.
The link for Indian landlines is http://www.niftylist...India/landline/
You may be able to log in to Jet's Indian site (instead of the foreigners' version). Close your browser and change the clock on your computer to Indian time and log in again. This allows Indian Residents who are overseas to book at Indian prices and my also allow you to "avail of the student discount". Worth a try!
All the best,
John.

That is the phone number to make reservations for Jet Airways LOndon branch. I tried to get the student discount as I am 21 and live In UK. However, I phoned three times and quoted what is on their website and they kicked up a ig fuss about it only applying to foreigners who are going to study in India. I said this was a differnet promotion to what was on their website and there was just a discount for all students. they refused to give it to me. I emailed a complaint and was told after all I was eligible. You may have to kick up a bit of fuss or you may just get it straight away.

You cannot get that discount online, only full prices so you have to ring that phone number to get the 25% off!!

Nice tip but I'm afraid it didn't work, the concessions still don't come up.
A phone call it is then, but not today, just spent over half an hour arguing with NTL phone people after they messed up our bill AGAIN!!!! Ahhhh, tomorrow is another day...

Just checking...Are you trying to buy domestic or international flights? The youth fare doesn't apply to international fares.
elijahmo - The student discount is, I think, just for Indian students. You should be eligable for youth fare though. maybe thats what they gave you in the end?

The youht fare is the one I was trying to get. they are two separate special offers. However, they would not even allow me the youth fare as I was not studying in India. even when I quoted there own terms and conditions off the website, they still refused.

We got the under 30 fare from Delhi to Udaipur. We purchased the tickets in India, however, from a travel agent. We bought them in the morning and were on the flight in the afternoon.
