A friend of mine suffers from Vitiligo (whitening of the skin) and has been using Arogyavardhini Guthika tablets for her condition.  Are these tablets readily available, and the cost if anyone knows.

Does anyone know if there's something newer on the market or if this is the only cure.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Priya,

I'm not familiar with the condition nor the tablets.  It's worth a try to respond via questionnaire to Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal.  They will be able to respond to your friend's needs.  I'm sure they probably have a medication similar if not the same as Arogyavardhini Guthika.   Perhaps by another name like Aragvadharishtam.  Really, the meds should be prescribed appropriately by a good ayurvedic physician.  I would think the ayurvedic doctors would need to analyze your friend's ENTIRE system before diagnosing with one type of tablets.

He could fax them the questionnaire if he can't send it online.  (All of the information is given in the website)

Thanks for that fromusawithluv.  I'll pass this on to her.

She's developing a big hang-up about the condition - i.e. the white marks are spreading, and is accelerated by being in the sun.  Evidently it's genetic.  I think the medical term for it is leukoderma or something like that.
