Darjeeling in winter with out heating is difficult indeed. I have not been to D'Sala in winter but a few friends of mine did and I gather that it is not that bitter cold.

Dear Kullu bhai doc Dhruba sends you his greetings.

Give Him my Luv, will He be going to Mela??
Hi Ray, it's been a while!
Like I say it's pot luck whether it will be hot or cold although Ray's talking about quite a while back now & I think the Temps have been warmer in Dec/Jan in recent yrs. Most GH's will hire out heaters for the rooms at a small charge, I remember about 4 or 5 yrs ago I stayed at 7Seas in Bhagsu & the rooms were very cold but they are large rooms, the owner provided a fan heater & charged me Rs25 extra per night. Hey there Kullukid, I'm not sure how much help I can be on the Andaman's, it's well over 3 years since I was there, and I've heard things are changing fast, but...

Hi Conor, I've just been told on another forum that all the hotels are infested with rats, that climb on your bed at night, something Mrs KK won't be happy with since I've told her that it's like the Seychelles. What's your experience regarding rats in your room??? :)  :P We are planning on staying at Wild Orchid on Havelock, how do they fair on the ratometer??? :) KK
