Hey peeps!

Just thought I might share this little Gem with you all which could provide a great opportunity for Children Walking Tall or another UK Registered Charity..!

The company I work for has just lauched this years "World Of Difference" programme which in s nutshell offers a salary of £25k plus up to £20k expenses for one year.. details are below..

Today the Vodafone Foundation is launching its world of difference programme which gives 8 lucky UK residents the opportunity to give up their jobs for a year to work for a charity of their choice, salary and expenses paid.

This is a fabulous opportunity and for any Vodafone employee picked to take part, Vodafone have guaranteed that a job will be kept open for you (should you ever return).  So if you want to go to Borneo to work with orangutans, to Brazil to work with street children or even to Belgium to work with the homeless, there is a world of opportunities out there for you.

To take part you simply need to fill in an online application form at www.vodafone.co.uk/worldofdifference by the 30th July 2009.

As with any once in a lifetime opportunity there are a few catches –

For stage one – only applications to work with outside the UK will be accepted but the charity must be a UK registered charity (such as Oxfam, The Red Cross or Water Aid) – you can check if your chosen charity is registered in the UK at www.charitychoice.co.uk
You must be aged 18+

For full details of the scheme, please read the attached document.

Stage two will be launched in September giving people the opportunity to work for UK based charities for a shorter period of time.

I have got a word document that outlines things in a bit more detail and has some useful info on it for the destination charity  - For some reason it won't let me upload it so drop me your email if you want it sending on!

Anyone up for applying?

SB

p.s If anyone has any use for Mr Malkers' skill sets then please let me know and I will be more than happy to apply on his behalf!
