Which are the best Italian guide books for India? My girlfriend speaks Italian, so we're gonna ditch the LP and Rough Guides, thinking that maybe the native Italian guide books would be great to have as an alternative.
She has mentioned Conde Nest. Any good?
Where could I buy these online?
Cheers!
Conor.

Ciao Conor!!
Sorry for my late reply!!
I'm sorry, I don't know Conde Nest.
...for my trips I use Lonely Planet and Rough Guide too
we haven't any good alternative in Italy to these.
For a nice reading I can suggest you "India del Nord" written by Pierpaolo di Nardo, Polaris. Well written and informative, but not a "real" guide book. (in the future they will publish also "India del Sud", don't know when).

Thanks for that, yeah it seems like most Italian travellers just buy translations of LP, RG etc. Ah well never mind, think I'll go with the Footprint next time around.....
