Early morning stepped out of my living room with my steaming cup of Darjeeling tea as usual. Did I notice some thing different?  YES. Instead of the still damp old air the wind blowing now is young and fresh. The direction has changed from south west to north east. The wind blowing now has come from the hills of the north. I looked at the sky. Bright blue sky with patches of grey low clouds returning like exhausted troops having completed their mission.
Soon the sky will turn even more blue, the low flying grey clouds will give way to high flying cotton wool white clouds. Truckloads of bamboos will arrive at many community parks. Craftsmen will begin erecting the pandals. There will be sign of festivity all around. Durga Puja won’t be far off.

"Ekti sisheer bindoo..."

Quoted from a poem by Rabindranath Thakur where he talks about a person who has travelled the world to see the wonders and in this process failed to notice the drop of early mornin dew on a blade of grass right ouside his home.

Like me perhaps.
