I've been busy pulling together photos from out there in cyberspace and from under the bed. Today I finally managed to scan the photos of Orchha and Aurangabad
For those who have never visited Orchha I promise, after this you'll want to. Not due to my prowess as a photographer (since I don't have any) but because it really is a gem of a place, that bristles with history all in the midst of some beautiful countryside. The phots were taken over thetwo weeks we spent languising by the river.
I hope you like them, the slide show option doesn't seem to working yet, don't know why, maybe flickr is busy or something anyway there's the link to the pics....... enjoy Orchha in all her glory
Orchha
Aurangabad is another of my favourite places with lots to see and do, Here's a few pics
Aurangabad
Still Got Pushkar, Fatehpur Sikri, Bharatpur, Bandhavgarh, Mahaballipuram, Khumblegarh/Ranakpur Hampi, Munnar, Varkala, ...............................That's a lot of scanning

Nice pics Cyber.
Orchha is really a lovely village, in my opinion one of the nicest places in India. I was there two or three weeks ago, was my third visit and I love this place. About Aurangabad have been there but for me was "just another dusty city in India....".

I like the slow laid back Ambiance of Aurangabad, for a town it's less frenetic than many I've been too.
Great food too.
How was Orchha Jorge I heard tourism has taken a firm hold on the place.

I've seen more tourists this August than in my previous visit three years ago but not that much and most of them just stay there a couple of hours on their way to Khajuraho. I love the place and for the moment is still alive. The sadhus are now asking always for money but if you know how to manage them is quite easy to make a lot of pictures only inviting them to chai and pakoras.

Aurangabad is in a type of train dead-end, so it's annoying to get to Jhansi by practice. There's only one immediate practice a day. You may discover it more practical to take a trip first from Aurangabad to Jalgaon by bus, and then take a practice from Jalgaon to Jhansi.
