This looks like a great resource.
In a somewhat similar vein, I just stumbled on something I'm sure the Indians here know about, but it was new to me: the TV history series by the late Arvind Das from about 10 years ago, I think, called "India Invented." There are 13 episode starting with the Old Stone Age going up to the modern era. I think all of them are on Google Video. I'll start a new thread with links - but it's way past my bedtime tonight, so I'll do it tomorrow.

I haven't heard of that series Dzi, or at least I don't seem to remember any series by that name!
