After 3-4 days in Rishi, i'm heading for D'sala by bus or maybe cab (reluctantly) I originally intended to take a back route into HP over 2-3days, from Mussourie up to Rohru in Kinnaur area then over the Jalori pass to Mandi & onward to D'sala (which i still might do) However due to lack of time I'm not sure it's possible.
So i was thinking of making a one day mad dash to D'sala or maybe Palampur/Baijnath. I know there are overnight buses plying between Dehradun & D'sala (14hours) but i think it can be done much faster than that ???
Does anyone know if there is an alternative route?
I think i can go Rishi-Haridwar-Chandigarh-Rupnagar-Una-Palampur/D'sala. Does anyone know this route & how long it should take by bus or cab. I would have thought there would be direct buses from Chandigarh to Palampur.....does anyone know? if so how long? KK

kk,
My knowledge of Indian trains and buses is a bit rusty, but there's an alternative via Haridwar-Dehradun-Paonta-Shimla-Mandi-Jogindernagar-Baijnath-Palampur.
I do not know about direct buses on the above route or how much time will it take; but its bound to be scenic.

Thanks Shimla, I did the DD to Shimla route on my first visit 11yrs ago,but that's quite time consuming, it took around 9hrs to Shimla then next day to Mandi. I think my "plan A" from Muss to Rohru over Jalori to Mandi may take about the same time & would be a verreee interesting untrodden route. Dhananjay would know, but i've lost his email add, does anyone have it??? KK

I found myself asking "What else can make that assumption? "You might think it's just an Office, stories should be stopped, but it is not a problem. As the series progresses the characters become more developed. I am amazed at how writers are able to weave all these characters will be uniform dynamic story, but they do so successfully. The actors are very intuitive and a play-off between the end. In the third season, Jim was transferred to a subsidiary of DM in Stamford, Connecticut. They cleverly bouncing back and forth in Scranton and Stamford for the parallel stories that intersect from time to time.
It's just a pleasure to see the series progress. Think you know a certain character and aspirations, but then you are surprised by the revelations that occur throughout the show. All actors are excellent and understand their characters, but Rainn Wilson and Steve Carell really shines. His performances are extraordinary because they are so multidimensional and will have you laughing, surprised, and care in a single episode of 21 minutes and that's what makes a great TV.
What a great show. The DVD extras are cool. This is the kind of DVD you can put in on a cold winter weekend day and spend all day watching.
