I'm heading to India, but I'm not exactly sure of the limitations of going there during July. Of course it'll be unbearably hot (I've gotten through two Middle East summers, so I'll be okay) and monsoons could be issues if I head towards the coast.

But, what exactly does it hold me back from, and how should I alter my trip to best fit the time I'm going? And, is there any way to head to the beach safely, even during this season?

Any information on this, or any India info at all is greatly appreciated.
And would you mimd telling me which website have travel acution ?
Thanks !

How long would you be in India?
July is not unbearebly hot as summer is over. In July it will be raining and pretty heavily along the coast. The sea becomes rough so swiming is not recommended at most beaches.
The monsoon is not a very big problem in the plains of north India. So you may look at Delhi, Rajasthan.
In the mountains Ladakh remains dry and July/Aug is a good time to visit.

India in July will be very hot and wet. Not sure I could cope with 45C for long. If you don't move around too much it might be OK.

When you say about getting to the beach safely, what do you mean? I don't think the weather will make going to the beach dangerous.

Don't worry about the weather, take it as it comes or you may spoil your enjoyment. Sure, it will be wet and warm but that is much better than being wet and cold. It doesn't rain all the time but it does rain heavily when it does. It may limit walking around in the open and beach time, but when its not raining go for it. The beaches tend to be a bit quiet in the wet with many of the beach shack eateries closing down.
If it proves to be too wet go for the places of interest, old forts, temples, palaces, museums etc and there is always shopping!! and of course enjoying Indian food. Why not try some Bollywood movies at the cinema.
You haven't said where in India you are going so it is difficult to be more specific than that.
Many countries have travel advisory web sites, I know here in Australia we do, maybe in China you do too.
A book I enjoyed reading, printed in English, called "Chasing the Monsoon" by Alexander Frater, Penguin Books, may be of interest to you.
Enjoy India

Welcome Meimei!!! ;)

What are your areas of interest?  Temples, architecture, cities, wildlife, the people? How long will you be visiting?

You mention travel auctions.  What exactly are you looking for?  There maybe someone here who'll be able to help out.

What's the chances of that happening?  ;)
Smoked for 25 years but now not smoked since 13th Jan. Am I now a non smoker, a smoker who doesn't smoke or an ex smoker? Do I have to even have a title, can I not just be a 'me'? Has not smoking made me crazy?, probably!

Well caught Malkers! I was having my own suspicions earlier. This happened at another time, another place - wonder if it's the same person/persons.  I'm sure a perfectly plausible explanation will be forthcoming!

This time Rajasthan is very nice place to visit , it does not rain as it does rain in South India. You should start your traveling from jaipur--pushkar--jodhpur--jaisalmerudaipur--ahmedabad. these are very nice place for visiting . And you can enjoy your this holiday vacation by  watch the game parks at ranthambore, desert camel safari at jaisalmer, elephant and camel rides at jaipur.
