I was in gujarat in early february and the weather was superb - warm and dry. interestingly, the first few nights we were there we needed blankets (only thin ones) and then one night it was suddenly warm. the next day our host asked us if we had felt the weather change, apparently it's an annual phenomenon.!

We've been in Rajasthan and Gujarat during the winter months before and found the climate excellent for travelling, walking and sightseeing. In the desert in Rajasthan it can get cold at night but in the middle of the day it's sunny but comfortable with clear skies day after day. I remember in Bundi once we got quite excited when some clouds suddenly appeared in the sky - we hadn't seen any for weeks! It's an ideal time for Gujarat too - I think it has only rained once when we were in Gujarat and that was a thunderstorm in Mandvi but maybe in these freaky/crazy weather times we could be in for some surprises this coming winter!

Jyoti Da, this really is freaky year, Last two summer seasons have gone tolerably pleasant and just touched 41C +, then this winter went on and on with balmy days and no spell of cold wave to speak about. Now we just had a wettest May on record of 108 years. Then the full deluge you referred before is not seen here in north and west of Delhi, barely 30 Km from where you are and rains have absolutely pattered off for now with very humid air. As I see extreme elements have all but gone when they are expected, half a dozen more years like this and am afraid Delhi is going be a heaven for lily livered poltroons and not for the kind of folks it is now known for  :ranting:

I fully agree with you H@H bhai. The extreme heat and the dry weather of May, June used to kill all the mosquitoes, flies and bacterias. This year is a field day for these. Good time ahead for my doctor friends it seems.
