Have just noticed much of North India has been updated on Google Earth
The Kullu and Parvati Valleys there in much better detail along with Shimla - plus Gangtok in the West.

Wow that's excellent Chris! erm, if you don't see me here that often,then that's probably because i'm flying up & down the Kullu valley on Google Earth!

If anyone wasn't aware there is a new version of Google Earth to download with new control options, making it even easier to pretend you are Superman.

and it seems to be faster as well.

Don't forget the hidden flight simulator in Google Earth. Press Ctrl + Alt + A for Windows or + Option + A for Mac.
You can then pick an F16 jet or a Cessna.
