Since I have no repercussions whatsoever except to anti-advertise, here 'tis.  I have tried for months to sign up for Tata Indicom modem. they have better prices than reliance and... let's face it, their modem is sleeker and more stylish. I want(ed) it. But, after being hung up on by customer service twice after the initial request for information because they couldn't understand my English, I was annoyed. Still, it's cheaper than Reliance...

Finally, I got ahold of a real person who would talk to me. Kind of. She said she'd have an executive call me...

Instead, they come to my house, unannounced and when I am not home, leave a flyer with a phone number...

So, I call again. After much haggling, I manage to find out what paperwork my friend needs to sign up for the modem. My friend won't be home Thursday, can they come Friday?  No problem...

Friday comes. And goes. Monday goes. Tuesday goes....  

Enough is enough. More expensive or not... Clunkier or not.... Reliance it is. Sheesh. Here I am begging them to take my money, and they don't want it.

I'll let you know how the Reliance thing goes.
