Hi all,
Have made an on-line application to volunteer at 'ChildrenWalkingTall' towards the end of July08. It sounds like a fantastic place, (have read some of Rob's blogs on this site) but it appears they have more volunteers than they really need. Is anyone aware of other charities in the Goa district that also need volunteers, preferably teaching duties? I am a special needs teacher with ESL experience but am happy to work in any capacity that is needed. (To a point!) Will be arriving in late July08 & can stay for three months (visa permitting) or even longer if needed.
Thanks,
Rooboy.

Does it have to be in Goa or could it be in Kerala, because I have a possible lead.

Hi Dzibead,
No, not necessarily but since I wrote yesterday, I have received an email from ChildrenWalkingTall requesting further proof of qualifications and police clearances, etc........so I am hopeful that this is a positive sign for volunteer work there during the monsoons of 08.
I will wait to hear from ChildrenWalkingTall again but if I am not successful there, I would definitely appreciate any contacts for similar opportunities in Kerala.
Thanks for your feedback,
Rooboy.

OK, good luck with CWT.  It's a good outfit.
