I am being sent by my Indian Company to UK on business visa. Though I am on business visa, my Indian employer is asking me to do work on client side in UK on business visa?

Is it legal? If not, can the client as well be held responsible for getting work done by the employee of Indian company .

Best Regards

Ralph, I doubt that anyone here is qualified to give you accurate legal advice on this question.  This is essentially an India travel forum and we're really not able to give advice regarding what kind of UK visa you need to be able to do what kind of work in the UK.  I suggest you contact a UK-based solicitor with expertise in international business matters.
