After a gap of 43 years the Kolkata Dhaka train link has been restarted. THe train named Maitree(friendship) Exp. was flagged off today morning 7:10 AM, the Bengali New Year  from Chitpoor station among lot of fanfare. It is a 15 hour journey. Right now the service is once a week.

It was a great sentimental moment for many aged Bengali people of Kolkata as now they can visit places where they grew up before the partition.
Wish Ritwik da was alive to witness this.
