Iwtgbk, It is one of the few books that can be described as Life-changing, Imho. His message is similar to that of Buddha or Christ. I do feel  that he is enlightened (or living in the natural state). This book,  along with Nisargadatta Maharaj's  ' I am that',   contains everything   that a seeker would need, in his quest , imho ( Btw, no prizes for guessing that I am a fan of Eckhart :whistling: ).

Have you read this book? If yes, Please do share your experience.

KK, No, we are yet to speak about synchronicity. :whistling: I watched the telecast, kk,  and for a change, Oprah allows him to talk. It was a nice show.

Btw, Do you remember the Eckhart Forum? You  have not logged in there  for ages. That forum has a chat room now. It is great fun. The other day, I was chatting with other members, atman and Brahman, no less,  and  lo and behold!  Eckhart himself makes an entry into the chat room. :angry:

it doesn't appear to be able to be downloaded as a pdf, but as an ipaper, something that appears to be similar to pdfs.  roll your mouse over the ipaper icon and find about ipaper - you might be able to download it that way.
just is.

I managed to d/load the pdf file and opened it in Acrobat Reader, but then it vanished. :whistling:  The text file download is all over the place, but if I'm really stuck, I'll use that.

Wow! so you spoke to the man himself?? I received an invite to the chat room, but i decided a while ago that the forum was not really for me. However i still like to read ET's words occasionally. KK

I loved the power of now. I have been involved in buddhism for the last 15 years but started to get much more into the advaita/neo-advaita approach and found tolle's book to be one of the best.

Time is just a construct of small mind...if we can see through this, we see through the self. If we see through the self, we see reality.

KK, One can enter the chat room by choosing any Nick name. A bright guy choose Eckhart as his Nick. He was true to the teachings, though. He said that everything  was a dream including the questions posed tp him!

KK,   My Nick is' Buddha' :lol: Kidding, I use my real name. I have stopped frequenting the place, of late. They recommend different teachers like Adyashanti, Barry long etc... . I would rather read 'I am that.'

Btw, Great Pics on your avatar.  Nisargadatta Maharaj, yukteshwar Giri and Now, Shirdi Sai Baba. Who's next, kk? Krishnamurthi? :(

Feelings mutual Bati, i found that i couldn't go along with some of the members understanding (or lack of) of things & i didn't want to get drawn into long heated debates (waste of energy) with some of the so called "Enlightened Ones" who seemed confused or in some cases verreeee deluded to me.  There is an old saying;
"If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him!!"
I'm referring to those members of ET who have read PON & now think they are enlightened, not to your pretend nickname. ;)

Try different browsers.

I clicked the "Download" PDF icon that is in the box on the right with IE and Firefox, and it opened the file in Acrobat. Then I saved the file from Acrobat.

Could be a security setting in your browser preventing the download.
