Just a quick note for prospective travelers to India, I noticed that IR has reintroduced bed rolls in 2nd/Sleeper class on trains after a long absence.
These are not automatically assigned, as in AC 1st class, 2 tier and 3 tier.  Simply ask the carriage attendant as he passes by with a mountain of bed linen.
You'll hear him long before you see him.

This is a good news, no need to carry linens. Hope IR has introduced in all overnight trains.

What is the charge for the bed rolls?

Can you reserve them when you buy your ticket?
