Even though I'm basically glad they're finally thinking about the downside of the dump-on-the-tracks method, I hope they'll be cleaning the new loos regularly (but why am I skeptical?) -- or using the toilet on a train is going to be even more disgusting than it is already.

With the new sytem, the  will take the smells with them.

Seriously, I don't see what the environment problem with discharging fecal matter is. Don't all millions of animals do it everyday?

Yep, and they cause pollution problems, too.

and despite all the warnings, people still use the toilets whilst the trains are at the stations, leaving piles of excrement lying on the tracks. it's just not healthy. or nice.
just is.
