I take a few pills for bi-polar disorder. Should I expect any hassle upon arrival to India for having these? I've read that in China they won't let anybody with a history of psychosis (no, I'm not psychotic) into the country and I'm wondering if India has any similar rules for entry into the country. All medicines will be brought in their bottles labelled from the pharmacy.
Any and all help is appreciated!

I have brought in my extra strenth sleeping pills in the labelled bottle. I have never had my stuff looked through while going into the country. I have never heard of any rules with regard to who they allow into the country based on mental health issues.

I bring with me a copy of the prescription as well - but I´ve never had any questions over medication.

I also carry several prescribed meds. I am getting ready for my 14th trip to India and nobody has ever looked at my drugs. Until this year I have always carried them in the original container....but after speaking to my pharmacist, it is ok to put each drug in a zip-lock bag. Just ask your pharmacist to print out a second label for the zip-loc bag. Double check with your pharmacist - they have probably had this request before.
Have a great trip!.
