Hi All...

It's busy again out here and I'm way behind on the next newsletter - but that's just hw things are... I have managed to add a new set of photos though which everyone might like to see. One of the more strange items about this collection is the very pale european looking baby near the end of the collection, it was a suprise to see her in the slum....

As usual, everyone looks delighted with their gifts :D

Thanks, once again, Rob.

Hi all.... I have added two new sets of photos to the website, one set is from photos when we were handing all the school items out to the children in June, although we were a little busy so I didn't have a huge collection to choose from (busy giving rather than taking photos - :os), the second set are from the last couple of months while the monsoon has been on, any chance we get the children go outside, but most of our time we do arts and crafts with them inside, especially during the last couple of weeks while the weather has been so bad... So much rain...

Here are the pictures...
100 Children into School and The Monsoon House...

As well as the new pictures we have a few new webpages where supporters can copy our links from to use on their own websites/blogs... So don't feel shy...

I'm hoping to get the newsletter out this week, it's unsuprisingly late (again), oops....

Thanks

World Goa Day

The Children celebrated World Goa Day. Rene Barreto continues to champion World Goa Day and invited us to join i once again this year. The have been heavy rains in Goa over the last month and we were very lucky with no rain on the day. The young children were taken on a little outing to the park in the morning and then the children were split into three groups, which revolved around three different activities. Inside there were drawing World Goa Day posters and making friendship bracelets, outside there was 5 a side football / dodge ball (depending on how much energy the groups had and finally parachute games in the forest. The day saw a beautiful chicken curry lunch and fruit and ice cream in the evening. Thank you to all the volunteers and staff for all their help and I wish everyone a happy "World Goa Day"...

There's certainly a lot of concentration going on with those friendship bracelets!

That little one in the yellow 't' shirt (last picture) looks as though she's been up to some serious mischief. ;)

What a treat to see all those happy faces.

Sorry for the delay in the reply... Yes, that's why I liked that one especially... They were really concentrating!!!

Oh yes... He's quite a loud one as anyone who has been to see us will know.... Normally he can be found charging through the rooms going 'Aaarrrrrhhhhhhhhh" as he rolls one of the large trucks etc as the volunteers curl their toys in so they don't become detached....

Glad you like the photos.... Thanks....

A great write-up by one of your volunteers, John.

Disturbing news about your two TB patients, but I'm sure their recovery will be 100% with your care. Losing one of your children to rabies must've been heartbreaking but at least your other victim is receiving treatment. Broken bones too.........you've been really busy, but all seems to bode well at the Mango House with swimming lessons and park visits. Lots of fun being had by all. ;)

Just a quick one to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I have uploaded two sets of photos from the last few days when we have given out 1000 presents in the slums of Goa. It's been a hard but fulfilling experience. Today (Christmas Day) will hopefully be less tiring but probably as noisy as we give 'our children' their presents today at "The Mango House"...
