If only I could wake with the chai wallahs Cyber! But alas for what ever reason India always awakens me as the sun rises. This has many benifits and I would not have it any other way but I require a cuppa as the eyes open.

2. Is there any way one may get hold of a miner's lamp sort of ensemble, that you stick around your head, so that you can light up your way after dark in strange, mountainous and other places, leaving your hands free?

Available in many US catalogs for $10-$40. Four years ago, I gave one as a gift; it used lightbulbs like those from a flashlight. The ones I saw this year had LEDs!

Here are some from REI http://www.rei.com/g...eral-_-headlamp

Though not a design sufferer I usually get a pretty reasonable cut in Indian and the eliminate is a little bit traumatic as you also try to carry a slower discussion with "Patel The Knife" as he caresses you neck and face with the blade. No thoughts, feelings of Sweeney Todd are easily banned :)
