I would like to fly from Aurangabad to Hyderabad to save time. It looks like the only good possibility is to take Indian Airlines IC888 to Mumbai reaching there at 18:05 and connect to IC619 to Hyderabad leaving at 19:05.
Is that too tight of a connection? We will have checked luggage and would they be able to transfer it in time?
Any thoughts?

This is the only option it seems. But it is a too tight connection indeed.

There are trains from Aurangabad to Hyderabad at night. It takes roughly 12 hours. Overnight trip can save time and money as well.

Thanks. I am trying to get Ajanta Express but it is waitlisted and I am having trouble with the payment gateway (ICICI) to get an I ticket. But I guess that is a topic for the Railways forum!

Now there is a Tatkal scheme. You can book tickets five days in advance by paying Rs300 extra for AC tickets and Rs150 for non ac tickets. If you want to book for a ticket 6th then try after 8am (IST) on 1st.

I am sure that by flying from Aurangabad to Hyderabad you cannot save time, Becasue I had a bitter experience buddy. Even thought the flights are on schedule, sometimes there may be changes, So do NOT depend on that,
It is better to select EXPRESS trains or buses, I used to travel by Express trains,
Cheers,
Oliver
