To be very honest, I found the food a bit cold this time. Well, it was around 2 - 2.30 by the time we got there...
I did not try the Saag Paneer Dosa, one of the kids ordered it, said it was good. I had ordered a Paper Masala Dosa which was huge, and couldn't finish it.
Went grocery shopping and stopped at Zyka ( http://www.zyka.com/ ) and picked up some mutton curry and chicken 65 and naan for dinner. Nothing very exciting.

Sounds like a nice day ... food all around -- what could be bad?
Zyka has a good menu; I am feeling really deprived after a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch, so it all sounds good to me.

Doggie Bag by email would be very graciously received, Hyderabadi
How true WWUSA - what could be bad? A grilled cheese sambo also doesn't sound too shoddy, but having so many options to choose from must make things difficult, decision-wise!

That list doesn't include Bombay Bazaar, on Valencia Street in San Francisco. I think some of the Berkeley groceries are missing, as well.
Bombay Bazaar has an icecreamery next door -- they have chiku ice cream .. yummy!

Good list; I've eaten at several of those places. The one closest to my home is http://zantespizza.com/ ; their traditional pizza is very good, as is their Indian food....and just on the other side of the hill!

Zantes Pizza seems interesting. Pizza with tandoori chicken topping!
On Super Bowl Sunday, we made Jyoti da's Chicken 65 and put some of it on a frozen cheese pizza and baked.

I am going to try to make Chicken 65 some night; it always sounds so interesting, and I've never seen it on a menu here.
I prefer my pizza with pesto sauce, mushrooms and garlic .. I had a bite of "Indian Pizza" once and it just didn't work for me!

Here is Jyoti da's recipe:

(BTW, there is a lot of debate how it got it's name. Lots of theories, my take is that it's Andhra.

Time to plan the dinner in SF for last week of March 08.
I will be in SF downtown (Marriott) for a conference at the Moscone Center I am free the evening of March 26th (Wed). Shall we plan to have dinner as a group (any kind of food)?
Cheers

Great video Hyderabadi, as well as the food, it features "the cloth" you have to watch carefully but it's there.

He he just one of my perverse little pleasures, watching peoples face when they see their dinner plate wiped down with the same mangy cloths used to swab the cooker, floor and work surfaces.

Bad time for me but I'll get there ... the conversation better be lively enough to keep me awake, as i'm seriously sleep-deprived by then!

No worries. It is just an evening dinner - any recommended places around that area? Are you far from Downtown? How about the rest of the gang? Some nice paratha, goat or lamb curry, cucumber raita and beer and I am a happy camper.
Cheers

Our cyberpals are scattered all over the SF Bay Area, and Wednesday night isn't the best for several that I can think of. (Some live 50-or so miles away.)
I'm hoping you'll return my phone call and we can talk about it.
