I am preparing my next trip (I've already the tickets  :D ) but now I have a question: my nephew is 17 and has his own passport what about the visa application form?  He can compile and sign his own form?

The following website says that for minors traveling on separate passports (as distinct from being on a family passport), a letter from a parent or guardian should be included with the application.

Thank you DB.
Try to send a mail to the consulate in Milan and probably I will try to phone because I have these questions....
dumb questions I know......
1- The letter should be in english???? Because in this case I have some difficulties.....
2- The content of the letter????
May be they have a letter as an example for people like me.... :D

I don't think these are dumb questions.  The letter proabably needs to say that the parents give their permission for their child to travel to India, and maybe it even needs to identify some adult that the minor will be traveling with - ???  Since the consulate is in Italy, it seems to me they should accept a letter in Italian and they can have it translated -- but who knows.  I'm sure they'll tell you exactly what they need.
