I use this and it really works.  Even 'GIMP' a photo editor.

Its all free and all you need to have is a flash drive large enough to hold the applications you want. Typically a 1gb flash/thumb drive should be OK for the essentials. More drive space always helps if you want to store your pictures there too.

Please use at your own risk ( as with any thing else I recommend,  :)  ), but I've been using this for about two months now and no problems for me so far...:lol:

Have you tried Google Docs?  Don't even have to install anything, other than a web browser, courtesy M.Soft or Mac..you probably have one installed on your computer the minute you bought it.

I have used u3 but according to this article in wiki, sandisk and micro$ost is launcing a new format in 2008
