jog falls this year after the monsoons...make a trip if you can this weekend.

PS: i didnt take the snap...im still sizzling in the heat of delhi :) :bigsmile:

Thanks Shilpa. A bit too far for a week end trip tho.
There is a very interesting story about discovering this falls by an English explorer.

Once villagers living near by believed that a snake demon lived in the jungle. The sound of the water falls was belived to be the sound made by this demon and the spray was thought to be poisonous vapours emitted by the demon. So no one ventured to invesigate. An English man from Bangalore reached this village and was looking for a guide. Naturally none agreed. As a last resort this explorer kidnapped one young fellow and carried him tied on his horse back. He finally reached Jog Falls. Further trouble awaited this villager. On his return the villagers did not allow this young fellow to enter the village fearing that he had been infected with the poison.
