Avocado paratha: http://spiceisright....o-parathas.html

Also several avocado ideas in Cooking With Kurma: this is a cooking series with strictly vegetarian meals with an Indian influence by an Australian gentleman.

I said no comments because I'd probably say some thing nasty, but come to think of it.... talking of patio recipes....here's a really nice one:

1.Select as many ripened Avocados as you can, put them in a 'lap-sized-basket'.
2.Invite neighborhood goats/lamb outside your patio.
(If you do not have any goats/lambs living in your neighborhood, move to one which has them.)

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to reply anyway as I have to say Hyderabadi's patio recipe is TOO funny. Thanks.

Also, I have another guacamole recipe that is similar, but different enough from the one posted, that I hope you don't mind that I add it as well. We used feta cheese and it really kicked it over the top; people were fighting over this.

from Rick Bayless:

1/2 small onion, very finely chopped
green chiles, 2 serrano or 1 jalepeno, to you taste, very finely chopped
1 clove garlic, very finely chopped
      10 sprigs cilantro, chopped
1 ripe tomato, med-large, seeded and, yes also very finely chopped
      3 ripe avocados
      1/2 tsp salt
      1/2 lime, juiced
queso fresco or feta for garnish
      radishes, chopped for garnish

Mix all the chopped ingredients together, then mash the avocados in with them. Season with salt and lime as per your tastes.
Add garnishes as you like. It takes only a bit of feta, but it's worth it. I wasn't crazy about the radishes, but other people liked them.

But, to my mind, the question still remains.. WHY?

;)

Seriously, adding those chillies, garlic and cilantro makes it a bit interesting. :)

And welcome to The India Tree! :)

And welcome to The India Tree! :)

Why? For you: it's just a little easier than buying a new house near goats.
