A Bengali Feast

Here is a picture of a Bengali feast served on banana leaf. The sweets are served on a earthenware plate.

Must be, we Bengalis are core fish eaters. You can see prawn & fried Hilsha on the leaf. And apart from fish we are mad about our sweets too.

Looks similar to the Onam feast I tucked into on Lakshadweep. Seven or eight different dishes all served up on a banana leaf.

I'll try and dig out a photo later today.

I just put on a Kilo from ogling the sweets.  :)

One of the first things I do when arriving in India is head for the sweet shop and buy a box full which usually lasts
me a few days.  :)  :indiaflag:
