as an australian i am bound to confess that i know all manner of filthy expressions. it was just that items of clothing are mentioned in jumper touching (which is a lovely expression i've never heard before but will definitely use) and shirt lifter, which is one i may have used occasionally.

at least i didn't lower the tone of the conversation as far as the doc!
just is.

:) C'mon Judi, even a PM with an explanation will put my mind at ease as far as Jumper Toucher is concerned, or is it self-explanatory? :)

:P - I'll have to get confirmation from another Tree Monkey on this one because I don't want everyone thinking I'm another gutterbrain :P

Now back to Billie :)

A Jumper Toucher - for those unfamiliar with the expression - is someone who is impressed by celebrity, and likes to have some connection with a celebrity e.g football fans, who stretch out to touch the jumpers of their footballing heroes as they walk out of the tunnel. ;)

Now get iwanto and Dr Funk to explain their delightful expressions ;) ;)

shirt lifting, something practised by males who share the love that dare not speak its name! if it helps, imagine that the shirt lifter is a male standing behind another male...

i'll leave the doc, silver tongued smoothy that he is, to explain rug muncher. ;) ;) ;)
just is.

I don't know what 'rug-muncher' means.

I've led a sheltered, innocent life. :angry2:

Today I got my birthday gift from my daughter, Nine Lives by Dalrymple. I am yet to finish Glass Palace by Amitav Ghosh which I may do this week end.
