I'll have you know that Shirt Lifting and Pillow Biting have got absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Jumper Touching!!!!!

as an australian i am bound to confess that i know all manner of filthy expressions. it was just that items of clothing are mentioned in jumper touching (which is a lovely expression i've never heard before but will definitely use) and shirt lifter, which is one i may have used occasionally.
at least i didn't lower the tone of the conversation as far as the doc!

A Jumper Toucher - for those unfamiliar with the expression - is someone who is impressed by celebrity, and likes to have some connection with a celebrity e.g football fans, who stretch out to touch the jumpers of their footballing heroes as they walk out of the tunnel.

shirt lifting, something practised by males who share the love that dare not speak its name! if it helps, imagine that the shirt lifter is a male standing behind another male...

Today I got my birthday gift from my daughter, Nine Lives by Dalrymple. I am yet to finish Glass Palace by Amitav Ghosh which I may do this week end.
