It's not a problem finding your way around if you know an area, but there are times you need to travel with a map.

I bought a new map last year, but it still has the old place names on it!

Can you add to this list of place name changes?

Bangalore is now Bengalooru, but its original name was Bendakalooru.

In Kannada. Bendakalooru means "town of boiled beans".

Why the powers that be didn't go all the way and change the name to Bendakalooru, I can't guess.  :)
