Hi all!
i've got a Maestro debit card from my bank here (SA), and have never used one before. It's supposed to be an international thing, but I don't remember seeing it in England and am suddenly wondering how useful it's gonna be at ATMs on my next trip (Turkey-India overland). I've got 2days to find out, as I fly on Friday!
Do any of you in Europe/USA/India/wherever have a Maestro or know any more than I do?

Maestro is fairly common all over wonderingkat, the card is from Mastercard and works on the Cirrus network as well I believe, so plenty of ATms in Inda and Turkey will accept this card!!
Here's a link to an ATM locator for your card, from Mastercard

Yes we have one and have used it all across Europe and South East Asia, about 70% of banks and ATMs now accept them as do many retail establishments.
You might find it trickier in smaller towns and villages so always best to stock up with cash if you are headed that way.
Maestro normally shares itself with Cirrus logo so if you see Cirrus too you will usually be fine, if that makes sense!

Smoked for 25 years but now not smoked since 13th Jan. Am I now a non smoker, a smoker who doesn't smoke or an ex smoker? Do I have to even have a title, can I not just be a 'me'? Has not smoking made me crazy?, probably!
