It's a big question here in California -- what wine goes with Indian food? Here's an interesting article from my local paper's Wine section, which contains some recipes and some suggestions of what to drink with that curry!

they should have talked to the brits. i think they have more experience pairing wine with indian curries.
personally...i think its semillon that i have found the best match. grewurtzraminer and all kinds of lighter reislings are the next.
my brother though thinks the cheap california wines- woodbridge and some others....($6 dollar table wines) go well....cabernet as well.

i've never had wine with curry, i always think of it as something to drink beer with!
i'll be interested to try some of these combinations.

I don't drink alcohol, so it's a moot question for me, but the article was interesting in the way they broke down the tastes/spices/types of sauces before reommending wines.
Some of those recipes sounded good for Wesstern adaptations of Indian recipes.
