Muthathi is probably the nearest place from Bangalore on the banks of the river. It is a small village, near which the river runs shallow and wide. Road to Muthathi runs parallel to the river and makes a pleasant drive.

To get to the village you drive through  forest and if you are lucky you may spot a wildlife. The roads are pretty ok but broken. This place is about 70km from Bangalore and is indeed a pleasant ride for a weekend. The roads are filled with monkeys and cow dung---urrghh

Also when you park by the river be careful with the monkeys as we had a bunch of them attack on our food stock. :whistling:

Once you enter the village you need to buy a pass which will cost 5/- Rs and for people who like to have fun there is a range of water sports which unfortunately I wasn't able to try as I was already tired of the previous days ride and was in a hurry to get back home.

A lot of people can't stand touring but to me it's like breathing. I do it because I'm driven to do it.

Hey sure and do post few pictures which I might have missed out. On the banks of the river you find some old remains of a temple few broken idols with some human skulls :whistling:
It was pretty scary then got to know that a lot of people died in the water as you can then notice sign boards hanging on trees warning you about the whirlpools...though I never got to see one....I will post more pictures this weekend.
