Where in Delhi/Gurguaon should I go to for the interior design fabrics and such? I don't have much time, so if there is a cluster of these shops all in one place I prefer that.
One name that springs to mind is Fab India, but I don't know where is their biggest shop in Delhi these days?

Try Lajpat Nagar Central market, they specialise with fabric for woman suits and home furnishing. Reasonably prised there are many many shops in a small area.

Fab India would of course be a safe bet and for excellent quality, click here for a list of their stores.
Also worth a look and good for pricing too is Dilli Haat, some beautiful fabrics there from all over India, usually!

Smoked for 25 years but now not smoked since 13th Jan. Am I now a non smoker, a smoker who doesn't smoke or an ex smoker? Do I have to even have a title, can I not just be a 'me'? Has not smoking made me crazy?, probably!

The best Fab India outlet is in GK-I. As Malk says do check out Dilli Hat.

Is this fabric for your guest house? I'm hoping that plan becomes a reality. I'm no expert on fabric shopping in Delhi, but the Cottage Industries Emporium has a fabric department that has cloth that's suitable for housewares like curtains and furniture covers, not just fabric for clothing.

Had you been a delhite, I would have told you to get it from the wholesale market near chandni chowk. At least thats where we get all our stuff from. Apart from that there are quite a few shops in karol bagh and kamala nagar, which are out of tourist circuit and hence the prices will be better. If you have a friend in delhi, (s)he can take you over there.

2dzibead: not yet, but close
for a restaurant (but similar concept as I discussed before abt the GH). start small!
I am familiar with what Cottage Industries Emporium and Dilli Haat have to offer... I am not after very traditional designs (I have no particular Indian theme in my restaurant; it's Asian fusion)... I need some spurge of creativity...
May be I try Karol Bagh. I think they have a lot of small 'boutique' style shops with interesting fabrics and designs. What do you think?
