Hi guy's i'm thinking of doing some volunteer work this summer in South India for sufferer's of the devastating Tsunami.  I've researched organisations who offer volunteer experiences but there are all really expensive.  Any ideas on how to do this on a budget, i'm a student so I can't afford to spend over £1,000.  I would highly appreciate any help or advice you have to offer.

You can probably write in detail what you are expecting and then maybe some one having direct experience on the topic can help out...

Leave out the Tsunami aspect, thats a very old story and there are not many real suffering issues anymore around it. I would suggest to look for what you are specifically interested in, and research on NGO's working on that specific front..
