A friend has moved recently to Gurgaon from Bangalore and is in North for the first time..

He asked me for help on whats the best way to go about looking for a appartment... his questions are around

- what is a fair locality with basic essentials
- what does he have to watch out for
- any websites to refer for house hunting
- any 'person' to contact (agents, realtors and so on)

He is looking for a stretch budget of 5k for a one bedroom/hall/kitchen place.

Any advice my dear contacts ?

Jyoti Da, Garden estate is like 25K+, he wont be spending more then 5 K a month, so that leave not much choice except, UB Block in phase III. them UB blocks by default in any Haryana city sector are marked as 'Janta' sectors

Oh yes sorry I missed that 5K thing... thanks for pointing out H@H. Yes 5K is too little for a decent acco in a good neighbourhood in Gurgaon.

If I may suggest something :-

visit one of the real estate sites i.e 99acres.com or magicbricks.com , search within the parameters you need/require and tehn look at the results. Not only will you get options (hopefully  :( ) , at the least you will be able to identify areas which you can target.
