Hello,

I am from Canada and bank with CIBC and I was wondering if anyone has had any issues withdrawing cash from ATM's.  CIBC cards use the plus system and they have a 4 digit pin code.  I was originally going to bring all travelers cheques when I read a few of these forums saying don't do it.  Would it still be wise to bring a little amount of cash in the form of travelers cheques?  Would you recommend bringing some other form of currency as well (US, Euro, UK, Canadian, etc...).  Thanks for all the kelp!

What signs do you have on your ATM card.  I only ever use a card but always have a little home currency on me just in case I lose the card.  Never used a travellers cheque in my life!
Smoked for 25 years but now not smoked since 13th Jan. Am I now a non smoker, a smoker who doesn't smoke or an ex smoker? Do I have to even have a title, can I not just be a 'me'? Has not smoking made me crazy?, probably!

if you can use your card, cash that up and bring it. i use a mastercard which i cash up and can withdraw cash from atms with as well as pay for stuff with. i figure that mastercard is accepted worldwide so it's a good bet.

but i'd recommend a back up, just in case. perhaps some us dollars or euros. and i travel with a secondary card which is only to be used in emergencies ie the first card gets lost.

and hey, the kelp's free, take as much as you want!
just is.

I believe OP was talking of Visa Plus, which is normally an easy draw in most of the ATM's in India. Also keep your credit card pin handy as incase ATM is giving troubles, you can always fall back into credit card for withdrawing cash..

Also check with your bank on the rates for international withdrawals... some banks can cost a pain..
