The Tamil Nadu government has decided to make wearing of helmets compulsory for two-wheeler riders soon.
A government press release has requested for time to frame rules and officially notify the public. The stipulations will cover the type of helmets to be used, punishment for detractors and other guidelines.
This decision follows increase is two-wheeler sales and road accidents in Tamil Nadu.
