Hi all. This can be of great interest for all the Italians of the forum (btw: Serena, where are you?  :D ), but also for members of other countries looking for a cheap connection to India.

The Italian airline EUROFLY (www.eurofly.it) has recently launched a new flight from Rome Fiumicino to Delhi. This is the first and only direct flight from Rome to India, and the third flight from Italy to India, after the usual Alitalia flights from Milan Malpensa to Delhi and to Mumbai. There are no other direct flights from Italy to India.

The new Eurofly flight will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; return from Delhi is scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

What's very good is the scheduled time of the flights: they leave in general around 22:00 and arrive to Delhi in the morning of the day after (9:00-10:00), while the return flights leave in the early afternoon and arrive to Rome in the evening of the same day.

There are also possibilities to have a connection from Milan Malpensa and Verona with the same airline.

The promotional campaign has offered the first 1000 seats (but I don't believe they were really so many!) at 100 Euro plus taxes, total 302 Euro. Now these fares are completely sold out. The cheapest fares available at this moment are around 400 Euro plus taxes, i.e. around 600 Euro total, which is not so cheap (comparable to other airlines), but the advantage to have a direct flight from Rome remains.

That's all. Ah, I don't work for Eurofly and I don't take money from them!!  :D

Bye:   Gianni

Ciao Gianni! Come stai?
Well, I'm still here! Only I don't have much time in this period and you know, it's hard for me after this summer thinking about India and not able to go (I have to wait one long year!!!! :( )
But you lucky man I'm reading you will fly there in February! Will you use Eurofly? I 've heard about the company but dont't know so much really.

Ciao Serena, happy to see you still here!

Yes, I will go with Eurofly, I will leave on february 14th and back on 23rd. It was not at all a planned trip... last week I saw the advertisment on a wallpaper in the street, I checked to see if the offer they were advertising was real, and I found the LAST seat in the flight Rome-Delhi at 302 euros total... i couldn't miss it, I'm sure you can understand me!

It will be just a short period, but I'm lucky to be there during the celebrations for the Mela and Shivararti night.

If you (or other Italian members) are interested, there should be still seats available at low fare from Milan and Verona, you can check directly www.eurofly.it

Ciao!   Gianni
