Hi,
I am arrviving into delhi from London and later that day I have a domestic flight down to kerala. Never been to India before, don't know distance between two airports, beauracracy etc.
Int flight arrives delhi 06:15
Flight to kerala with air deccan leaves 10:55 same morning.
Do I need to re-schedule or is this fine? any advice on transport bwteen the two airprts etc, time it will take? any undue delays getting through international arrivals.
Thank you
Adam

Give yourself an hour to get out of the plane and complete all the formalities..another 45 monutes to find the shuttle..and for the shuttle to reach the domestic airport..45 minutes to check in for your flight to Kerela.
You would still have two hours to capture the sights and sounds of the Delhi airport..not that they are anything to write home about!

So might three hours (10.45 landing, 13:45 departure) on a Saturday in high season be pushing it?

I'm sorry I don't understand your reply, I am not sure if it was intended for my original post.
I land at 06:15 in the mroning in the international airport and depart form the doemstic airport at 10:55, which does not really work out at 3 hours with my maths!
Confused!!

Sorry, I wasn't replying, I was being cheeky and asking for the info for my own purposes, a previous reply added up to 2 and a half hours transfer, so I just wanted to make sure that 3hrs would be enough during a busy time.
Sounds like you will have plenty of time though.

It will take you about an hour to get your baggage, clear customs, immigration etc. Then, get a quick cup of coffee and get a taxi. Use airport pre-paid taxi if possible. Otherwise ask a couple of taxis how long and how much it will take to go to domestic airport. If I remember correctly, it took us about an hour a few years ago. Therefore, your schedule looks fine to me. One word of caution, you may run onto a baggage problem. Flights from USA allow two check-in and one carry-on luggage because of US Fed. laws. Domestic Indian airlines may not be that generous to you unless you have prior arrangements. I had baggage problem with Indian Airlines.
