Hi a friend and myself are planning to come to India September 2007
We plan to arrive in Delhi for 2 nights on the 4th and then go on a trek of the Curzon Pass [also known as the Kuari Pass].
We are looking for any help in finding companies who will arrange everything for this trek including pick up in Delhi necessary porters, cook, camping gear, food whilst on the trek etc.
We are happy to join a larger party or for a customised trek.
Two companies have replied and both look excellent. However, the cost difference between them is significant.
Any recommendations who to use for this trek and also where to stay in Delhi for good quality B&B would be appreciated.
We plan to return to UK 22nd September.

Kuari Pass is amongst the most popular and easier of treks in Uttaranchal, not to say its not beautiful..it is divine.
Several trekking agencies organize this, I used a firm called High Adventures in Joshimath.
You could also spend a while reading throughmy blog in the Member Blogs section..it is not complete yet, but gives a rather detailed description of my trek to the Kuari pass.

Goldriver, you have plenty of time, check with all the companies, and with seasoned travellers. This is one good place to get information. While the price is important, check the fine print, what are they offering for the price. Don't take anything for granted, if it is not written down you won't get it. In fact sometimes, some things may be written down and you may not get it. So, use the time you have to work out all the details.
