Nice camera the Nikon D50, it's suprisingly easy to use as well!! Makes good photos easy. I especially like the white balance feature which you can set for various light situations (direct sunlight, cloudy etc etc.)
The histogram feature for light balance is good too though it'll will take a while to learn to use!!
All in all it's the first camera I've ever owned that I've been completely satisfied with.
Buy one while you can, Nikon aren't building them any more and the updated D40 seems to pale by comparison!

I'll put together a little slide show of my local area (where the flower fields are in bloom!)

I bought mine on offer for 499 Euro which seems like a good price for Europe!!

They had the wrong price tag on the Tamron lens, which saved me 150 Euro as they had to give me it at the advertised price. He he a great days shopping!!

Bought one S5IS for Rs15,000 from Singapore. 8MP and 12X. Detachable lens for more attachments. Both auto and manual focus. Full auto to full manual mode. Performance quite satisfactory.

Here's a friendly Canon Forum, the format is much like The Tree, except it's for photography. :)
