Hi Everyone,

Had to tell someone, so guys guess what I booked a ticket to Delhi today, depart these shores on March 6th return on March 21st.

Travelling on my own, arriving in Delhi at 11.30pm (not my choice but cheap airline ticket only £318 return.

A year ago I would not of considered doing this by myself. Now, a bit apprehensive but it will be ok.

THANKS India TREE, you've been a lifeline to me. especially yesterday "things you miss about India2 Quote "What is your good name" and the food, and the smell of incense and for me the sound of Jarlings(may be spelt wrongly) Tibetan long trumpets.

Only 4 months away, Love to all Susan j

:D

Here's susanj, back in June (a mere 4 months ago):

"Having had all these dreams about McLeod Ghanj, sitting in front of HH Dalai Lama, whilst saving up the pennies to make the dream real, I do have the odd moments when I think (my husband definitely does) that I must be mad, but the flight is booked sooooooooo............. "

soooooo ... the dream came true!  And now you're on your way to being "an old India hand."  You go, girl!   :D

(And just think, you won't be awash in the monsoon on the next trip!)

Me also very envious! But also very happy to hear you are going back so soon. I thought you had a very strong will to go, and you were brave enough not to be kept back. Let's see how many trips you will do before I have a chance to visit India late next year.

Uh, just to jump on Susanj's bandwagon. About halfway through my Rajasthan trip I decided I was going to come back to India. I have already booked a flight to Kathmandu in February, but now as soon as I get there I'm heading back over the border! What is it about India??

Hey Guys!!!!

Well, i'm back.  I had the MOST AMAZING time, I really didn't want to come "home".

It's never going to be out of your system.  Once you've experienced India, it's never out of your system.  It's the most crazy, beautiful, intoxicating place in the whole world.

I can't wait to go back and i'm already plotting........

Thank you to the India Tree for all of your invaluable advice and encouragement.

Yes of course I will, just trying to catch up on the back log since i've been back "home".

I spent nearly four weeks in Kerala, travelled around for the first two weeks and then went down to the coast to relax before I came back.  I visited Trivandrum, Alleppey (backwater trip), caught the local ferry to Kottayam and stayed there before I caught the bus up to Thekkady/Kumily.  Spent some time on the Tiger Trek in Periyar and then back out to Kumily before I headed back down south to Varkala and Kovalam.  Also ventured out to Kannyakumari.

Without the information on trains and buses, I would have been pretty daunted but it is so easy.

If anybody has any specific questions about it, let me know and i'll reply when I can.

At the moment i'm just looking at flights for my next visit!

xxx   :D  B)  :D

Totally - and no known cure!

I wouldn't have come "home".  Would have spent my days enjoying my addiction to the maximum!

I forgot how much of an effect it has on me.

Even tho we know there's no cure for our addiction, at least we can get our free group therapy sessions here on the Tree
