update: Just got a call that a team would be at my place at 5PM today to do the installation.
I guess the big boss of TataSky has a son named Vinay...
BTW I got the Digicomp with in 45 minutes from the phone call.

I have tried both systems, and although both systems are good, my money is on Tata Sky.

The most important advantage of Satellite, whichever system you choose, is that you get rid of the cablewallas, local power shutdowns, and strikes which ban the channels - and the picture quality is better!

There was 3 months' subscription left on the Dish TV when we moved into the new house, and I can confirm that it is a horrible system.

There is a huge delay after switching on while it scans for stations and the interface is worse than 3D sudoko!

I got rid of the Dish TV and had Tata Sky installed - it's cheap, easy to use, reliable, and has a great range of stations with add-on packages available at low cost.   ;)
