Hello,
I've just browsed the Spicejet website finding they have a very attractive price for a Delhi - Kolkata flight.

Was is your experience? Is it a 'more reliable' company then Air deccan?

Thank you,
Kailash

I had flown deccan Delhi - Kolkata, Kolkata - Delhi back by spicejet. Both the flights were on time. Out of the two deccan is more no frill!!!! They served water & cookies in the spicejet flight.

I flew Deccan from Chennai-Goa, and then SpiceJet from Bomby-Delhi... Both were just fine. I didn't see that one was better than the other. Great prices!

exactly.

I flew with Deccan a few times, they're fine though the flights were always delayed by at least an hour, so keep this in mind in case you have a connecting flight (well, this applies not only to Deccan though B).

cheers

Traveled on Spicejet in March and found it excellent.

However I did have a laugh at the safety talk.(But maybe it is standard in other countries).  You have to rip out your seat and use it as your life jacket. :)

I've flown with SpiceJet twice now and was completely satisified:  internet booking was easy, the flights were on-time, my pack arrived when I did, and the service was OK considering that this is a no-frills, discount airline.  From anecdotal remarks here and at the old site, Spicejet seems to be a cut above Deccan for reliability.  For passenger reviews of all domestic carriers, you can check out here:

reviews can be sorted by different criteria and make interesting reading, but beware that the people reviewing stuff on the Mouthshut site are often either highly critical or effusive in praise depending on what might have been a single experience, so do take individual opinions with the proverbial 'grain of salt' ;)
