an impressive list!

any high or low lights?

Highlights: Kashmir and Kerela. I took an overnight train to Kerela. Left a dusty station and went to sleep. Awoke in the morning to look out upon a sea of green lushness. Literally jaw dropping. I was only 18 and it was my first time abroad on my own. I won't forget that memory. Summer in Kashmir on Nagin Lake takes some beating too!

Lowlights: Selfish people arguing over seating arrangements for westerners at HH Dalai Lama lectures in Mcleod Ganj. (I would explain in detail but I dont think this is the thead for it)

Can anyone suggest any "must go to" places? I met a guy a while back who said I absolutley must go to chitrakoot. Anyone been there?

Chreers!

Chris.

Yeah i spent 3-4 days there, very atmospheric place, beats Rishikesh or Varanasi IMHO. it'a bit of a hike to get there but well worth it. I recommend  a stroll along the Ghats at 06.30.
Also do the Char Dham pilgrimage lot's of fun and some interesting places along the way!

I am surprised why Mathura is on no body's list, Mama tells me he who has not experienced Mathura Pandas (ritual priests) has not lived! I want to go visit once to see how aggressive they really are!
